WORST KLONDIKE YET!!

Last night i went to the Yankee Clipper Council's Klondike Derby, and might I say I had a miserable time. The worst part was that I froze last night, my sleeping bag not being right for the conditions, and being to small for me to be in it bundled up. As a result, i got very little sleep and at 4ish in the morning I ended up getting up and getting a fire started with the hot coals from the night before. I managed to get one pic of the fire before my camera battery died. During the day it wasnt much better. Being the Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) I had to organize the troop into the activities, as well as get them going on breakfast and stuff like that. One of the scouts, who is an expert marksman, had to go back to camp after getting frostbite on his feet, so we were left without a shooter for the shooting competition. I was supposed to be in the Iron Chef competition, but im the only other good shot in the troop. In the end, we all froze our asses off, none of us had fun, and we all left by 1:00, skipping the afternoon activities. It is decided that in order to have a good Klondike, we need to either have cold weather with a lot of snow, or warm weather, or no Klondike.
